Peter Waddell
Peter Waddell is a talented painter who creates images of places in history, including six for the Sheridan-Kalorama Call Box Project. Born and educated in New Zealand, he now lives and works in America, where he is artist-in-residence at Georgetown’s Tudor Place Historic Home and Garden. He has executed history paintings for the White House Historical Association; Mount Vernon; the Octagon in Washington, DC; Kenmore in Fredericksburg, Virginia; and Blair Mansion in Bowie, Maryland. Waddell received the 25th Annual Washington DC Mayor’s Arts Award for Excellence in An Artistic Discipline in 2010. His paintings are in the Call Boxes on George Washington, The Arts in Sheridan-Kalorama, Presidents, Chief Justices, The Lindens, and Women of Influence.
